Why I built Nudge
James Martin · Founder of Nudge / JM Studio LLC · Ohio, United States
I built Nudge because getting paid shouldn't require repeatedly deciding whether it's time to chase a customer again.
Nudge is for contractors, trades, freelancers, and small service businesses that want a simple, affordable way to automate invoice follow-up. Connect QuickBooks Online if you use it, or add invoices directly in Nudge. Choose which reminder stages are enabled and whether an invoice uses email, SMS, or both, then let the routine follow-up happen without adding another task to the day. Pro users can also customize reminder message templates.
Nudge is deliberately focused. It is not accounting software, a payment processor, a debt collection agency, or a large enterprise accounts-receivable suite. Your existing invoicing and accounting workflow stays in place; Nudge handles the practical reminder layer around unpaid invoices.
The product is built around simple pricing, useful automation, and control. Email and SMS are optional tools, QuickBooks is optional, and reminders can be adjusted per invoice instead of forcing every customer into the same sequence.
Nudge is an independent product built by James Martin through JM Studio LLC in Ohio.
