Nudge ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Nudge invoice reminder application. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

• Account data: Your email address, business name, and hashed password when you create an account.
• Invoice data: Invoice details, customer names, email addresses, and phone numbers you enter into the app.
• Billing data: Subscription status and Stripe customer IDs. We do not store full card numbers — payments are handled by Stripe.
• Usage data: Basic server logs for debugging and security purposes.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the invoice reminder service — sending emails and SMS to your customers on your behalf.
• To manage your subscription and process payments via Stripe.
• To send you transactional emails such as password resets.
• We do not sell your data to third parties.

SMS Messaging

When contractors use Nudge to send SMS payment reminders to their customers, we collect and store customer phone numbers entered by the contractor. These phone numbers and SMS opt-in data are used solely to deliver invoice payment reminders on behalf of the contractor.

Mobile opt-in data and customer phone numbers will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Customers may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. For help, reply HELP or contact us at support@nudgepay.app.

Cookies and Local Storage

Nudge uses browser local storage and session cookies to maintain your login session and app preferences. No advertising or tracking cookies are used. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings, which will log you out of the app.

Third-Party Services

• Stripe — payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Resend — email delivery. Subject to Resend's Privacy Policy.
• Twilio — SMS delivery. Subject to Twilio's Privacy Policy.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen.

Security

Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We take reasonable precautions to protect your data, but no system is 100% secure.

Your Rights

You may request a copy of your data or deletion of your account by emailing us or using the in-app account deletion feature. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request deletion. We do not sell your personal information.

Children's Privacy

Nudge is intended for use by contractors and business owners aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
